Job summary

Royal Mail in Linlithgow is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 9-month contract. You’ll deliver letters and parcels in Linlithgow, working 35 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, with 10:00–17:30 shifts and a rotating weekend roster.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points), be physically fit to walk and lift mailbags, and pass a driving assessment. Full training provided, a uniform and a red van.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently
