Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Petworth is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract for 9 months. The role involves delivering letters and parcels in the Petworth area, sorting at the delivery office, and working a 35-hour week on a rotating schedule that includes weekends.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points), be physically fit to walk long distances, and be reliable and self-motivated.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors.

Responsibilities
