Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) at Torpoint Delivery Office for a 9‑month fixed-term contract. You will work 37 hours per week across a 5-day-in-7 rota, delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in Torpoint, with full training provided.

You need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points), be physically fit to walk long distances and lift mailbags, and enjoy delivering great service in all weather.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Ability to work outdoors and walk long distances in all weather conditions.
• Reliable, self-motivated and capable of delivering strong customer service.
• Willingness to work a rotating shift pattern, including Sundays.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and communities.
• Work outdoors in all weather and maintain delivery accuracy.
