Royal Mail Group in Sutton-In-Ashfield is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term contract to deliver letters and parcels across the local area. You’ll work outdoors, use a Royal Mail van, and serve customers with a friendly, reliable approach.

The role requires a full manual UK driving licence, readiness to walk long distances, and weekend/Sunday shifts on a rotating schedule. Full training is provided, along with a uniform and benefits.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit for long distances, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
