Job summary

Royal Mail is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Dunoon for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. The role involves delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot in Dunoon, with a rotating shift pattern and weekend inclusions. Full training, a uniform, and a trusted red van are provided.

You will need a full manual UK driving licence, be physically fit for long walks, and pass a driving assessment. Excellent pension and wellbeing support are offered, with potential overtime.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
