Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Dunbar is seeking a part-time Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our team. You will sort and deliver letters and parcels, work on a rotating schedule including weekends, and ensure customer service across your local area.

You’ll drive a Royal Mail van, walk long distances, and operate in all weather. Training is provided, with a focus on safety, accuracy, and community connection.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
