Job summary

Join Royal Mail as a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Belper to deliver letters and parcels on a 30-hour week schedule. You will work across five days in seven, including Sundays, with a rotating rota and some weekend work at times.

The role is a fixed-term contract for 12 months, offering overtime and outdoor work in all weather. You’ll build relationships with customers while staying active in the community.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (6 points max).
• Able to pass a driving assessment for Royal Mail vans.
• Physically fit for outdoor work and long-distance walking.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer focused.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers and communities.
• Work outdoors in all weather.
