Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Congleton for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. You will deliver letters and parcels, drive a Royal Mail van, and work outdoors across a rotating shift including weekends. Full manual UK driving licence required and readiness for a driving assessment.

Role involves physical activity, building customer relationships, and serving the local community with accuracy and reliability. Training provided; uniform and a red van supplied.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable and self-motivated
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
