Job summary

Royal Mail in Preston is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a permanent basis. You will work a 30-hour week across Monday to Sunday, with Sundays required and a rotating shift schedule. A full manual UK driving licence is essential and you must be fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.

You’ll deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot, build strong relationships with customers, and work outdoors in all weather. Training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van are provided.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
• Reliable, self-motivated and well organised
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service
