Job summary

Royal Mail in Lichfield is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You'll work about 30 hours per week across five days in seven, with some weekend shifts and overtime paid.

Duties include sorting letters and parcels at the delivery office, delivering by van and on foot, and building relationships with customers in your local area. You'll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points), be physically fit to walk long distances and lift mailbags,

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) and be registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and able to pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service and working outdoors.
