Job summary

Royal Mail in Kidderminster is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) to join our team, delivering letters and parcels in your local area by van or on foot. The role involves a rotating shift, including some Sundays, with a daily route built around demand.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address), be physically fit to walk long distances, and be reliable and customer‑focused.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points, registered to your current name and address).
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Reliable and self-motivated with strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Securely deliver all items on your route, including election materials and high volumes of parcels.
