Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Caterham is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed term contract for 9 months. You will deliver letters and parcels by van and on foot across your local area on a rotating schedule, including some weekends, with 30 hours of work per week.

A full manual UK driving licence (up to 6 penalty points) is required, along with willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Must hold a full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, carry 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and well-organised in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
