Job summary

Royal Mail in Redruth is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term 12-month contract. You will work 30 hours per week across Monday to Saturday, with a rotating shift and occasional weekends. You’ll deliver letters and parcels in Redruth, using a Royal Mail van and on foot, building relationships with customers in all weather.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
