Job summary

Royal Mail in Port Talbot is offering a fixed-term Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) role for six months. You will deliver letters and parcels in Port Talbot, working 30 hours per week on a rotating shift, with some weekend work and Sundays ad hoc at Swansea Mail Centre.

You’ll receive training, a full manual UK driving licence is required, and you will drive a Royal Mail van outdoors in all weathers. The role is physically active and community-facing, with overtime and reliable performance

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required with minimal points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances and lift mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and able to work outdoors in all weathers.
• Strong organisation and focus on delivering great service.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
