Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Coleford is recruiting a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a 9-month fixed-term contract. You will sort letters and parcels, deliver by van and on foot, and engage with customers on your delivery route. The role involves outdoor work, a rotating schedule including weekends, and a driving assessment after training.

Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 points). Overtime is paid. 30 hours per week across 5 days in 7, with some Sundays at Lydney Delivery Office.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (required).
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated in a busy environment.
• Strong organisation and resilience for routine, structure and variety.
• Customer-focused with pride in delivering great service.
