Job summary

Royal Mail in Cardiff is hiring a Postal Delivery Driver (Postie) on a 6-month fixed‑term contract. The role involves delivering letters and parcels in Cardiff with a 30‑hour week, 14:00–20:00 shifts, and a requirement to cover some Sundays. Full training, a uniform, and a Royal Mail van are provided.

Shifts are rotating and may include outdoor duties in all weather. You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence, driving assessment, and the fitness to walk long distances while staying accurate

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
• Build relationships with customers
• Work outdoors in all weathers
• Handle and deliver election materials and certain items in line with Royal Mail standards
