Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Malton is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed term of 6 months, working 30 hours per week across Monday to Sunday, 08:00–16:00. The role pays £13.68 per hour with paid overtime and a rotating shift schedule.

You will deliver letters and parcels, build relationships with customers, and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Some Sundays may be required at Malton Delivery Office, with full training provided.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (max 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive Royal Mail van daily and pass driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift 10kg+ mailbags.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers and work outdoors in all weathers.
