Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting a Collections and Delivery Driver in Newcastle upon Tyne to support Royal Mail. The role involves loading at the office, delivering letters and parcels by foot and vehicle, and using a handheld device for routing and proof of delivery.

Expect outdoor work in all weather, a max 35 hours per week, and shifts between 8am and 8pm, Monday to Saturday. A calm, customer-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (6 points max; clean preferred).
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions.
• Excellent time management and customer service.
• Delivery/driving experience preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Load & Go: start day at local delivery office, sort and load vehicle.
• On the Move: deliver letters and parcels by foot and vehicle; up to 8 miles daily.
• Tech-Savvy Delivery: use handheld device for routing and signatures.
• Hands-On Work: lift mailbags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg; use trolleys when needed.
