Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Pontypridd. The role involves delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot, sorting at the office, and building customer relationships. You will work outdoors across a rotating schedule, including Sundays, with 30 hours per week and 6-month fixed-term contract.

You will receive full training, a uniform, and the iconic red Royal Mail van. A full manual UK driving licence is required, and you must be prepared for driving assessments

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence required (maximum 6 penalty points).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and able to walk long distances, lift 10kg+ mailbags, and work outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in local area.
• Build relationships with customers.
• Work outdoors in all weathers.
