Job summary

Royal Mail is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) in Carmarthen for a 6-month fixed-term contract. You will work 20 hours per week across Monday to Saturday, 09:00–13:00, with a rotating shift and potential overtime. The role involves delivering letters and parcels, maintaining customer relationships, and working outdoors in all weather.

Includes full training, a uniform, and a red Royal Mail van. A valid manual UK driving licence is required, and weekly pay is stated at £13.68 per hour

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit to walk long distances and lift 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self-motivated and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area.
• Build relationships with customers on your route.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions.
