Job summary

Royal Mail in Knutsford is seeking a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) for a fixed-term contract of 9 months. You will deliver letters and parcels, sort mail and interact with customers on your route, while working 30 hours per week on rotating shifts, including weekends.

You’ll need a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 points) and be able to pass a van driving assessment. Training is provided, with a uniform and a Royal Mail van supplied.

Qualifications

A full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points)
Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment
Physically fit and able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills, and lift/carry 10kg+ mailbags
Reliable and self-motivated
Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment
Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service
Comfortable working outdoors and independently

Responsibilities

Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office
Deliver post by van and on foot in your local area
Build relationships with customers
Work outdoors in all weather
Walk long distances up to 12 miles
Drive a Royal Mail van daily
Deliver high volumes of parcels
