Job summary

Royal Mail Group is hiring a Postie in Alton to join our delivery network and serve the local community. You will sort letters and parcels, then deliver by van and on foot, building relationships with customers while working outdoors in all weather.

The role is 37 hours per week with a rotating shift, including some weekends. Training is provided, along with a uniform and a pension plan. Overtime is paid where applicable.

Qualifications

• Must have a full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points).
• Able to work outdoors in all weather and walk long distances.
• Excellent customer service and reliability are essential.

Responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot in the local area.
• Build relationships with customers on your route.
• Work outdoors in all weathers and meet delivery targets.
