Job summary

Royal Mail Group in Calne is hiring a Postie (Postal Delivery Driver) on a fixed-term six-month contract. You'll join a community-focused team delivering letters and parcels by van and on foot, with a 30-hour week across a 5-in-7 shift, including weekends.

Full training is provided, and you’ll work outdoors in all weather. You should have a full UK driving licence, be physically fit to walk long distances, lift 10 kg+ bags, and pass a driving assessment.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (penalty points: max 6).
• Willingness to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit and comfortable walking long distances, climbing stairs/hills, and lifting 10kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable and self-motivated.
• Strong organisation and resilience in a busy environment.
• Customer-focused, with pride in delivering great service.
• Comfortable working outdoors and independently.
