Job summary

Qualifications

• Driving Licence: Full, manual UK driving licence with no more than 6 points to drive a Royal Mail van.
• Physical Fitness: Be prepared to walk 20,000 steps a day, get in and out of the van regularly, and carry a mailbag weighing up to 16kg.
• Flexibility: Shifts can vary, so we need team players who can adapt at short notice.

Responsibilities

• As a Post Person with Driving, you'll be the face of Royal Mail in your community, delivering letters and parcels come rain or shine.
• You'll drive round your delivery area, completing parts of your route on foot, providing exceptional service and ensuring every item reaches its destination safely.
• You are expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain restricted items in line with Royal Mail standards.
• This role is a vital service at the heart of every neighbourhood; you will work flexibly and take pride in your work.
