Job summary

Cygnet is hiring an Acting Team Leader at The Outwood in Leeds to work 42 hours per week on a two-week rolling rota, with 12-hour shifts and alternate weekends. The role combines Support Worker duties with leadership responsibilities to ensure high-quality care for residents with learning disabilities and complex needs.

You will be part of a small team, providing direct support while guiding staff to maintain person-centred care, safety, and community involvement for residents.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Support Worker aiming for a leadership role.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work flexibly in a care setting with a person-centred approach.

Responsibilities

• Oversee medication administration in line with policies and procedures.
• Coordinate duties to ensure smooth service operation.
• Lead, motivate and support the staff team to deliver person-centred care.
• Assist management with daily service running and planning.
• Monitor and adapt support to meet each individual's needs and preferences.
• Promote a safe and supportive environment for service users and staff.
• Support individuals to access local community activities and opportunities.
