Actemium Automation Teesside in Billingham or Worksop is seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer to lead delivery of industrial automation projects from concept through commissioning. You will work closely with clients to design, test and implement control solutions using PLC/DCS/SCADA platforms.

The role offers an office-based 37.5 hour week with a salary from £55,000 depending on experience, a discretionary bonus, generous holiday, pension and VINCI benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience with major PLC, DCS and SCADA/HMI platforms.
• Experience with Siemens PCS 7 and PlantPAx.
• Willingness to lead projects and learn new technologies.

Responsabilités

What You’ll Do

You’ll play a key role in delivering cutting-edge control and automation solutions for a wide range of industrial clients. From concept through to commissioning, you'll be involved every step of the way.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Actively participating in the whole life cycle of delivering projects, from start to finish.

• Fostering great relationships with customers, suppliers and colleagues.

• Producing design and test documentation.

• Developing PLC, DCS, HMI and SCADA software, including platforms such as Siemens PCS 7 and Rockwell PlantPAx.

• Performing testing with customers.

• Carrying out on-site commissioning.

• Compiling training manuals and running customer training sessions.

What You Bring

• A strong understanding and experience with major brands of PLC, DCS and SCADA/HMI platforms, including Siemens PCS 7 and PlantPAx, with an appetite to learn new technologies.

• Experience writing software and working with customers to deliver projects.

• Good understanding of setting up, commissioning, and fault finding of industrial networks (Profibus, ProfiNet, Ethernet) preferred, but not essential.

• Experience working in an engineering environment.

• An appetite to be the lead engineer on projects and learn new technologies when required.
