Job summary

Actemium Automation Hampshire, part of VINCI Energies, is seeking a skilled Software Controls Systems Engineer to design, develop and commission PLC/SCADA/HMI solutions for manufacturing, process and regulated sectors. Qualifications

• Degree in Controls/Software/Electronics or similar (preferred).
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience with PLC programming across Rockwell/AB, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver control system software from design to handover.
• Configure PLCs, SCADA and industrial comms networks.
• Conduct FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and site integration.
• Provide documentation, technical support and system updates.
• Collaborate with clients and multi‑disciplinary teams.

What You’ll Do

• Develop and deliver control system software from design to handover
• Configure PLCs, SCADA and industrial comms networks
• Conduct FAT/SAT testing, commissioning and site integration

What You’ll Bring

• Experience with PLC programming (Rockwell/AB, Mitsubishi, Schneider, Siemens)
• SCADA/HMI development skills (Aveva System Platform)
• Knowledge of industrial comms (Ethernet/IP, ProfiNet, Modbus, OPC/UA)
• Strong problem‑solving and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and within project teams
• Degree in Controls/Software/Electronics or similar (preferred)
• Full UK driving licence

Desirable

• Experience in regulated industries (Water, Oil & Gas)
• Knowledge of ISA‑88/95, GAMP, MES, Python or SQL
