Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in Willand is seeking an ACM Machine Minder to oversee input of chicken carcass across modules, ensure adjustments are made safely, and complete the required paperwork in line with procedures.

You will help maintain product quality, verify weight and size specs from customer sheets, identify defects, report deviations, and coach others to follow the customer specifications.

Qualifications

• Highly literate and Numerate
• Flexible in approach to working and be able to prioritise tasks accordingly
• Good standard of written and spoken English
• Ability to respond calmly to unplanned events

• Work well in a pressurised environment and be committed to meeting targets/deadline

Responsibilities

• Oversee the input of chicken carcass across various modules of the ACM.
• Ensure adjustments are made safely
• Doing the required paperwork
• Following procedures
• Product quality is everyone’s responsibility, and the highest standards of quality must be maintained throughout all stages of the manufacturing process.
• In your specific role this includes carrying out tasks in line with documented procedures and ensuring the products that we produce meet customer specifications.
• You will consistently refer to the relevant customer specification sheets to ensure that the portions / products that are being packed are in accordance with the agreed weight and size parameters and that there are no visible quality issues with the product e.g. excessive bruising, poor cutting standards, bone fragments, or excess fat
• You are responsible for identifying and reporting any product defects or deviations to specifications and removing those products from the line. This should also include a root cause analysis to help identify what caused the quality issue. You will also coach others to ensure they fully understand and adhere to the relevant customer specification sheets
