Job summary

East Park Primary School is seeking a motivated Achievement Support Assistant to join our EYFS team. This fixed-term post runs for one year, primarily linked to pupils with EHCPs. The role is 19 hours per week during term time (190 days), with a salary of £11,398–£11,766 (actual).

Job Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic Achievement Support Assistant to join our hardworking and dedicated staff to work within our EYFS team. This post is fixed-term for one year, primarily linked to pupils with an Education Health Care Plan - EHCP.

Contract Details

Grade: 4, Scp 7 - 9, £11,398 - £11,766 per annum (actual salary)

Hours: 19 hours per week, term time only (190 days)

Contract Type: Fixed-term

Job Requirements

The successful candidate will:

  • Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
  • Promote good pupil behaviour, dealing promptly with conflict and incidents in line with school procedures encouraging pupils to take responsibility for their own behaviour.
  • Support the academic, social, emotional and development of individuals and groups of pupils understanding clearly how pupils learn.
  • Provide effective support to maximise attainment and accelerate the progress of individuals and groups of pupils.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of Individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes when necessary.
  • Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress towards academic, social, behavioural and learning skills.
  • Liaise closely with appropriate staff in relation to safeguarding, behaviour, SEND needs and wellbeing issues.
  • Provide detailed and regular feedback to teachers on pupils’ attainment, progress, behaviour and attitudes to learning.
