About the role

  • Supporting Pharmacists and Healthcare professionals in the supply of medicines and accuracy checking to ensure safe and efficient pharmaceutical services.
  • Working with Primary and Secondary care professionals to improve community health.
  • Overseeing and inspiring the healthcare team to deliver patient-centered care.
  • Supporting training of support team members, trainee technicians, and trainee pharmacists.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ordering medicines, checking, dispensing, and endorsing prescriptions.
  • Performing final accuracy checks of dispensed items before supply.
  • Overseeing Dispensing Team Members as delegated by the Responsible Pharmacist.
  • Preparing, supplying, and checking prescriptions, providing advice and support.
  • Taking medicine histories and advising on treatment options.
  • Providing advice to patients and coaching others on medicines and referrals for complex queries.

Requirements:

  • Registered Pharmacy Technician with GPhC and recognized Accuracy Checking Qualification.
  • Passion for patient and customer care.
  • Ability to deliver high standards efficiently.
  • Experience in overseeing dispensing teams and supporting healthcare teams.
  • Teamwork and digital proficiency.
  • Willingness to learn and develop professionally.
