Curaleaf Pharmacy: The UK’s first distance-selling pharmacy specializing in medical cannabis, regulated by the GPhC. The pharmacy fulfills medical cannabis prescriptions, supporting safe and affordable access to medical cannabis.

Position:

About the Role: Working from our main office in Sunderland, this high-volume pharmacy role involves labelling, handling, and dispensing prescriptions for controlled drugs, ensuring all regulations and SOPs are followed. This role is not customer-facing but requires a passion for pharmacy work.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Managing Controlled Drugs registers and legal controls
  • Building professional relationships internally and externally
  • Stock control
  • Maintaining dispensary cleanliness and standards
  • Collaborating with Customer Service and Admin teams to manage patient expectations via email and phone
  • Organizing workload and dispensary layout for efficiency
  • Completing and organizing pharmacy paperwork
  • Providing final accuracy checks on prescriptions before dispatch
  • Assisting dispensers with queries, training, and guidance

Requirements:

About You: To succeed, you should have strong numeracy, literacy, and IT skills to navigate our bespoke software. You must be proactive and eager to develop professionally. Essential qualifications and qualities include:

  • NVQ Level 3 Accuracy Checking Technician qualification
  • Maintaining GPhC registration and professional development
  • Eagerness to learn about medicinal cannabis products
  • Great attention to detail
  • Calm demeanor under pressure
  • Problem-solving skills and adaptability
  • Self-motivation and ability to work autonomously
  • Teamwork appreciation

Desirable but not essential:

  • Experience in a fast-paced pharmacy environment
  • DBS certificate (company can provide if needed)
