Job summary

Mitie Care & Custody in York is seeking an Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator to deliver structured interventions for prisoners at HMP Millsike. You will run group and one-to-one sessions, perform assessments, and monitor progress as part of a supportive interventions team.

You will engage with sentence management, psychology colleagues and managers to ensure high-quality delivery, training and professional development.

Qualifications

• Current experience delivering accredited programmes within a community or custodial setting.
• Experience within Criminal Justice, Social Care or a secure environment, with an understanding of factors associated with offending behaviour.
• Understanding of psychological and/or criminological theory, group dynamics and techniques for motivating and engaging individuals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accredited offending behaviour programmes through group and one-to‑one sessions.
• Identify and engage suitable participants through screening, assessments and motivational interviewing.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, sessions and participant progress.
• Work collaboratively with Prison and Community Offender Managers, the Treatment Manager and Psychology Team.
• Support the wider rehabilitative culture by delivering staff awareness sessions and contributing to continuous improvement.
