Job summary

Mitie is seeking an Offender Behaviour Programme Facilitator at HMP Millsike in York to deliver accredited interventions with prisoners, guiding them through assessments and a structured programme journey. This is a non-operational, prisoner-facing role with training and professional support.

You will work with the psychology team and sentence management to monitor progress, maintain records and ensure programme quality, with opportunities for staff awareness sessions and development.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering accredited programmes in community or custodial settings.
• Understanding of psychological and criminological theory and group dynamics.
• Experience with motivational interviewing and challenging behaviour.

Responsibilities

• Deliver accredited offending behaviour programmes through group and one-to-one sessions, following programme requirements while adapting delivery appropriately to support individual participant needs.
• Identify and engage suitable participants through screening, assessments and motivational interviewing, supporting individuals to remain engaged throughout their programme journey.
• Maintain accurate records of assessments, sessions and participant progress, including post-session debriefs, objectives, reviews and communication with sentence management teams.
• Work collaboratively with Prison and Community Offender Managers, the Treatment Manager and Psychology Team, actively participating in supervision and quality assurance processes.
• Support the wider rehabilitative culture at HMP Millsike by delivering staff awareness sessions, undertaking professional development and contributing positively to continuous improvement.
