Qualifications

• Degree-level qualification or proven clinical coding qualification.
• Accredited clinical coding qualification is essential.
• Extensive experience of PAS or hospital systems.
• Coding across at least six specialty areas.
• Attendance at refresher and specialty workshops.
• Strong IT, numeracy and literacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high-quality, efficient clinical coding service.
• Translate complex medical terminology into nationally recognised codes accurately and in a timely way.
• Deliver training to clinical coding and medical staff.
• Support trainee clinical coding staff.
