Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for an experienced Accredited Clinical Coder to join the Clinical Coding Department. The role supports patient care, governance, and financial sustainability through accurate coding of medical terminology into ICD10, OPCS4 and HRG4.

You will translate complex terminology into official codes, ensure data quality, and contribute to training and supervision of junior staff in a busy NHS environment.

Qualifications

• Code at least six specialty areas using ICD10, OPCS4, and HRG4.
• Experience with PAS and hospital systems.
• Knowledge of national clinical coding standards and governance.
• Ability to deliver training to clinical coding staff.
• Supervisory or trainer experience preferred.

Responsibilities
