Job Description

Joining as an Accounts Technician / Accounts Senior based in the firm's Newquay office, you will prepare year-end accounts, tax, and deliver a wide range of general practice services to a mixed and varied client base of sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies with turnovers into the millions. There will be opportunities for involvement in cloud accounting advice and increased client exposure, working with managers and partners on planning and advisory projects as you progress in the firm. You will have the opportunity to further your technical skills and develop your career in a growing accountancy firm environment, with excellent support to qualify through AAT/ACA/ACCA/ATT/CTA, along with encouragement to pursue areas of technical interest.

The Successful Applicant

You will have a recent career background in the accounting profession, working for a small, medium, or large independent accountancy firm, or a Top 50/Mid-Tier firm, with experience in preparing accounts, tax, and providing other associated practice services to sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, in roles such as Accounts Assistant/Technician or Senior Accountant. You may be pursuing or hold formal qualifications such as AAT or be a part ACCA finalist, or have developed your career through experience to date.
