Job summary

eps.group services in London is seeking an Accounts Technician to support the accounts team with bookkeeping, year-end accounts, VAT returns and partnership tax returns for a varied client base, including sole traders and partnerships.

This hybrid role offers £28,000–£32,000 depending on experience, with benefits such as a bonus, pension, life cover and generous holiday. You'll work with Xero, Sage and QuickBooks and help oversee work passed to outsource providers.

Qualifications

• Bookkeeping or accounts experience in a practice environment.
• AAT Level 4, part-qualified ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience.
• Confident IT skills and good attention to detail.
• Initiative, flexibility and ability to prioritise under pressure.
• The right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Running client bookkeeping and management accounting across Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.
• Producing accounts and preparing VAT returns for various client types.
• Maintaining ledgers, processing journals and finalising accounts.
• Preparing partnership tax returns.
• Overseeing work passed to outsource providers.
• Keeping data accurate and managing deadlines.

Accounts Technician | London (Hybrid) | £28,000 – £32,000 | Permanent, Full-Time

We’re recruiting an Accounts Technician for a well-established, forward-thinking accountancy practice in London. You’ll sit at the heart of the accounts team, building on your bookkeeping foundations as you take on year-end accounts, VAT returns and partnership tax returns for a varied mix of clients. Those include sole traders, partnerships and limited companies. You’ll also start to oversee work passed to outsource providers.

What you’ll be doing

• Running client bookkeeping and management accounting across Xero, Sage and QuickBooks
• Producing accounts and preparing VAT returns for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Maintaining sales, purchase and nominal ledgers, processing journals and finalising accounts
• Preparing partnership tax returns
• Overseeing work passed to outsource providers
• Keeping data accurate and your jobs on track against deadlines

What you’ll bring

• Bookkeeping or accounts experience in a practice environment, whether you’re an experienced bookkeeper or an apprentice ready for the next step
• AAT Level 4, part-qualified ACA or ACCA (no need to carry on studying), or qualified by experience
