Autograph Recruitment is partnering with an established Gloucestershire practice to recruit an Accounts and Tax Senior. The role involves managing a portfolio of clients, preparing year‑end accounts and tax computations, and providing tax advice and business guidance.

You will mentor juniors, handle VAT/MTD submissions, and liaise with clients using Digita, Xero, QuickBooks, Excel and Outlook. The ideal candidate has prior practice experience, strong technical knowledge in accounts and taxation,

Qualificações

• Experience in an accountancy practice is essential.
• Strong technical knowledge of accounts preparation, taxation and compliance.
• Experience managing client relationships and supporting junior colleagues.
• Excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
• A proactive, client-focused approach with strong attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Excel and Outlook; experience with Digita, Xero or QuickBooks a plus.
• ACCA/ACA/CTA welcomed; candidates fully or partly qualified considered.

Responsabilidades

• Manage and develop a portfolio of clients with regular communication and support.
• Prepare year-end accounts and tax computations, including capital allowances.
• Prepare tax returns and calculate client tax liabilities with deadlines in mind.
• Provide accounts, tax and business advisory guidance to clients.
• Support VAT and Making Tax Digital (MTD) submissions.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members and manage workload.
• Liaise with clients and prepare reports and professional correspondence.
• Utilise Digita, Xero, QuickBooks, Excel and Outlook in daily work.
• Stay up to date with legislation, tax regulations and industry developments.
