Job summary

Zohorecruit is partnering with a growing chartered accountancy practice in the South East to recruit a Tax & Accounts Senior in Hailsham. The role balances personal and corporate tax with bookkeeping and advisory work, offering exposure to owner-managed businesses, SMEs and high net worth individuals.

You will work with Managers and Partners, mentoring juniors and contributing to process improvements while pursuing a clear path toward Manager, Associate Director and Director/Partner levels.

Qualifications

• ACA, ACCA, CTA or qualified by experience.
• Strong background across tax and accounts in an accountancy practice.
• Excellent communication and relationship management skills.
• Ambitious and motivated to progress into management.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal and corporate tax returns.
• Support tax advisory projects including remuneration planning, business restructuring and shareholder planning.
• Liaise with HMRC regarding enquiries and technical matters.
• Identify tax planning opportunities for clients.
• Prepare and review statutory accounts for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Support cloud accounting and bookkeeping solutions.
• Build strong client relationships and respond to day to day queries.
• Assist with the management of client deadlines and workflow.
• Support and mentor junior members of the team.
• Assist Managers with reviewing work and maintaining technical standards.

Key Responsibilities:
