Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice with a portfolio of clients.
• AAT/ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of accounts preparation and general accounting principles.
• Understanding of UK accounting standards and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients and act as the main contact for day-to-day accounting matters.
• Prepare and review year-end accounts for a range of businesses, including owner-managed and SME clients.
• Prepare management accounts and other financial information where required.
• Assist with corporation tax computations and returns.
• Assist with personal tax matters where relevant.
• Review bookkeeping and accounting records to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Provide clients with practice accounting and financial support.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Support managers and partners with more complex client assignments.
• Review the work of junior members of the team and provide guidance and feedback.
• Assist with the training and development of junior staff.
• Managing workloads and ensuring assignments are completed accurately and within deadlines.
