Job summary

Addington Ball Limited is recruiting an Accounts Senior or Supervisor to manage complete sets of statutory accounts for a varied client portfolio, including complex group structures. You will review work by juniors and partner with Managers and Directors, with strong exposure to advisory services.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice preparing complete sets of accounts.
• Part-qualified, finalist or qualified ACA/ACCA.
• Comfortable reviewing junior colleagues' work.
• Experience with limited company accounts and group accounting.
• Familiar with Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or IRIS.
• Proactive with good communication and desire to progress.

Responsibilities

• Prepare full sets of statutory accounts independently.
• Work with high-value businesses and complex group structures (up to 20 companies).
• Review accounts prepared by junior colleagues.
• Prepare consolidated accounts, management accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Build relationships with clients and understand their financial requirements.
• Collaborate with Managers and Directors; exposure to advisory services.

Role Overview

• Prepare full sets of statutory accounts independently for a varied portfolio of clients
• Work with high-value businesses and complex group structures, including groups with up to 20 companies
• Review accounts prepared by junior colleagues, providing guidance and support
• Prepare consolidated accounts, management accounts and corporation tax returns
• Build relationships with clients, understanding their businesses and financial requirements
• Work closely with Managers and Directors, with exposure to wider advisory and specialist services.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experience within an accountancy practice, confidently preparing complete sets of accounts without supervision
• Part-qualified, finalist or qualified ACA / ACCA, whether recently qualified or with several years' post-qualification experience.
• Comfortable reviewing the work of junior colleagues and helping them develop
• Experience with limited company accounts and an understanding of group accounting
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Xero, Sage, QuickBooks or IRIS
• A proactive approach, good communication skills and an interest in progressing your career.
