Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Senior Manager to join the Accounts team in Reading, leading a portfolio of clients and delivering advanced accounting and corporate tax work within a growing firm. You will supervise the bookkeeping team, review accounts and tax work for quality, build strong client relationships and support business growth with strategic input.

• Review accounts and tax work for compliance and quality.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering high-quality service.

Opportunity to join the Accounts team of a growing top 100 firm as a Senior Manager in their Reading office. This role will manage and grow a client portfolio focused on more complex accounting and corporate tax work.

A fast-growing accountancy and business advisory firm with offices across the UK, offering a wide range of services including accounts, tax and business support to SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

Description

The Accounts Senior manager will be a leadership position in the team, working directly with clients, supervising the bookkeeping team and supporting the wider team across technical accounting and tax.

Responsibilities Include

• Management of a portfolio of clients, delivering accounts and corporation tax services while ensuring deadlines are met and providing proactive advisory support.
• Providing technical support on more complex accounting areas including UK subsidiaries of International clients, group consolidations, VAT and Corporate tax.
• Reviewing accounts and tax work for compliance and quality
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and delivering a high standard of service.
• Supporting with business growth and strategy

Profile

A Successful Accounts Senior Manager Should Have

• A chartered accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA or equivalent) or be qualified by experience with demonstrated relevant experience in Accountancy Practice
• Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge
• Proven ability to manage a varied client portfolio
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients and colleagues
