Job summary

Affinia in Sidcup is seeking an Accounts Senior to lead financial reporting, tax prep, bookkeeping and VAT duties. The role includes supervising junior staff and assisting directors with projects, while maintaining high client service standards.

You will work with a diverse portfolio across SOLs, leveraging your technical accounting knowledge and mentoring skills. The position offers an opportunity to progress within a growing firm and a structured training path.

Qualifications

• Strong IT and Microsoft Excel skills with familiarity in accounting software.
• GCSEs including maths and English; professional studies encouraged by experience.
• Experience with common accounting platforms (CCH, Sage, QuickBooks, Xero) is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of financial reporting, tax, bookkeeping and VAT for client portfolios.
• Supervise and train junior staff; liaise with management on accounting matters.
• Prepare year-end accounts and group statements; review VAT returns.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting regulations and financial laws.
• Coordinate with other service lines and support ad-hoc projects.
