Job summary

Pertemps Glasgow Perms is seeking an Accounts Senior in Dunfermline for a well-established practice. This role is ideal for a newly or recently qualified accountant seeking a supportive team that emphasises professional development and high-quality client service.

You will manage a diverse client portfolio, prepare year-end accounts, management accounts and tax computations, and liaise with HMRC and clients to support informed business decisions.

Qualifications

• Newly qualified or recently qualified accountant.
• At least three years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for sole traders and limited companies (FRS 102).
• Good working knowledge of personal and corporation tax.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Accurate, detail-oriented and client-focused.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of small to medium-sized business clients.
• Prepare annual accounts for limited companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Produce management accounts and provide relevant financial information.
• Prepare personal and corporation tax computations and documentation.
• Communicate with clients, HMRC and others on accounting matters.
• Keep up to date with accounting standards and tax legislation.
• Support senior colleagues and assist with ad hoc client work.
