Job summary

Hyered in Sheffield is seeking an Accounts Senior or strong Semi-Senior to join our established accountancy practice. You will work on a varied portfolio across statutory, management accounts and tax work, developing technical skills and progressing your career.

The role requires at least two years’ practice experience, with three preferred, and confidence with accounting software and Excel. We offer fully funded AAT studies and ACCA support to help you advance professionally and build lasting

Qualifications

• At least 2 years' accountancy practice experience, ideally 3+ years.
• Experience preparing accounts for a range of clients.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and relevant legislation.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage deadlines.
• Good communication skills and a client-focused approach.
• Confident using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• AAT qualified, part-qualified ACA/ACCA, or qualified by experience.

Responsibilities

• Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing management accounts and financial reports.
• Assisting with corporation tax and personal tax returns.
• Preparing VAT returns and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Supporting clients with day-to-day accounting and financial queries.
• Maintaining accurate financial records and reconciliations.
• Managing workloads effectively to meet client deadlines.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
