Job summary

Jerroms is looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our busy and friendly accounts team. You will work with a diverse portfolio of clients across a range of industries and business sizes, giving you excellent variety and responsibility within the role.

You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients, building strong client relationships and overseeing accounts work from preparation through to completion.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified, or nearing a fully qualified status.
• Strong client relationship and communication skills.
• Well organised with ability to manage own portfolio of work.

Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Prepare personal tax returns and monthly VAT returns.
• Manage monthly payroll and liaise with clients.
• Oversee work from preparation through to completion.

The Role:

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Preparing personal tax returns
• Preparing and managing monthly VAT returns
• Preparing and managing monthly payroll
• Liaising directly with clients
• Managing jobs through to completion

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

We are looking for someone with previous experience working within an accountancy practice who can work confidently both independently and as part of a friendly team.

Ideally, you will:

• ACA/ACCA qualified, or nearing a fully qualified status
• Have good communication and client relationship skills
• Be organised and able to manage your own portfolio of work
• Work well within a friendly team environment
• Have experience with Microsoft Office
