Location: Preston

Numero Recruitment is currently working with a well-respected firm of accountants in Preston that is keen to recruit a Business Services Accounts Senior into their experienced team. The firm is expanding its client base and has 2 positions available for candidates with at least 2-4 years of experience working with a client portfolio.

Working as part of the Business Advisory team, the role will significantly contribute to the firm's growth. It will be mostly office-based, with opportunities to support clients at their premises, attend exhibitions, and promote the firm's services at events.

You will join an enthusiastic and energetic team at an exciting time. This role requires a forward-thinking approach, combining traditional accounting experience with cloud accounting software.

The Role:

• Preparation of financial accounts from incomplete records, including bank reconciliation, control account reconciliation, fixed asset accounting, calculation of debtors and creditors, nominal ledger accounting, and preparation of trial balance.
• Preparation of management accounts and financial forecasts.
• Visiting client premises to set up and maintain bookkeeping records and quarterly VAT returns, and providing support to clients who maintain their own records using Xero and other accounting systems.
• Assisting with tax compliance work for clients, e.g., preparation of Tax Returns, VAT returns, Payrolls, etc.
• Responding promptly, confidently, and courteously to client inquiries via calls and emails, especially regarding Xero assistance.

Requirements:

• Previous experience managing a client portfolio and working closely with clients.
• Good understanding of different accounting software; experience with Xero is preferred, but training will be provided if not.
