An independent accountancy firm in Leeds is seeking an Accounts Senior to manage a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial clients. The ideal candidate will be either qualified or part-qualified (AAT/ACCA/ACA) with accounts preparation experience. Responsibilities include completing financial statements, assisting in client meetings, and communicating effectively with clients. Responsibilities

• Develop your own varied client portfolio of small entrepreneurial businesses.
• Forge strong relationships with clients as their go-to person.
• Complete draft financial statements for review by a manager.
• Assist partner with client finalization meetings.
• Complete draft business tax computations for tax manager's review.
• Prepare documentation for client meetings.
• Correspond with clients regarding bookkeeping and taxation.
• Prepare ad-hoc management accounts.
• Support junior team members for accurate work.

Specific Requirement:

As Accounts Senior your remit will be varied and all-encompassing. Specifically, this will include .

Responsibilities

• Development of your own varied client portfolio, many of whom are small and growing entrepreneurial businesses.
• Forging strong relationships with clients, being the go-to person for help.
• Completing draft financial statements for sole traders, partnerships and companies ready for review by a manager.
• Assisting partner with client finalisation meetings.
• Completing draft business tax computations ready for review by the tax manager.
• Preparing assignment highlight documentation for client meetings.
• Corresponding with clients and dealing with queries around bookkeeping & taxation.
• Preparing ad-hoc management accounts.
• Supporting junior team members with questions and queries to ensure accurate work is produced.

Skills & Experience Required

• Qualified or Part Qualified AAT/ACCA/ACA.
• Accounts Preparation experience from an accountancy practice.
• The necessary personality traits, such as having a genuine passion for your work and excellent client facing skills.
• A true problem solver, well-organised and able to effectively manage your own workload.
• Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.
