Job summary

SI RECRUITMENT LIMITED in Harrogate is seeking an Accounts Semi-Senior to join a friendly, growing accountancy practice. The role covers preparing accounts for owner-managed clients, assisting with bookkeeping and VAT returns, and supporting audit and tax work.

The ideal candidate has around 1–2 years’ practice experience and is studying towards AAT or ACA. Ongoing study support is available, and you will work closely with senior staff to deliver accurate client work.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Studying towards AAT or ACA qualifications.
• Good understanding of accounts preparation and bookkeeping processes.
• Experience with CCH Accounts Production software would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Preparing accounts for a range of owner-managed businesses and clients.
• Assisting with bookkeeping duties and VAT returns.
• Supporting audit assignments where required.
• Assisting with personal and business tax work.
• Working closely with senior team members to deliver client work accurately.
• Liaising with clients to resolve queries and obtain information.
