Job summary

Sumer in Uttoxeter is seeking an Accounts Semi Senior to take ownership of technical delivery and support clients with confidence. You’ll act as a key contact for clients, ensuring high quality, technically sound work is delivered across accounts and tax.

You’ll review and coach the work of junior colleagues, contribute to advisory projects and build trusted client relationships while managing workloads to deliver exceptional service.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
• Professional and organised approach to work.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and ability to meet deadlines.
• Currently studying AAT/ACCA/ACA.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year end statutory accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Prepare management accounts for a varied range of clients.
• Prepare and/or review VAT returns.
• Develop strong and lasting relationships with clients, understanding their needs and becoming a trusted advisor.
• Manage a client portfolio, ensuring accurate and up to date records.
• Oversee the preparation and review of client accounts, support client decision-making and contribute to advisory work as needed.
• Supervise and mentor junior colleagues, ensuring quality and fostering growth through sound knowledge sharing and hands-on support.
• Manage your workload and deadlines effectively while ensuring deliver of an exceptional service.
